Biography:

Thor, as portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is based on the Norse god of thunder.

He is a prince of Asgard, son of Odin and Frigga, and brother to Loki (adopted). Initially arrogant and impulsive, Thor undergoes significant character development throughout his appearances. He first appeared in the 2011 movie *Thor*.

In *Avengers: Infinity War*, Thor seeks to acquire a powerful weapon to defeat Thanos after the Mad Titan decimates Asgard and claims the Tesseract. He forges Stormbreaker, a weapon capable of challenging the Infinity Gauntlet. Despite arriving on Earth during the climactic battle, he is ultimately unable to prevent Thanos from wiping out half of all life in the universe.
